My last post's last PSS point was at about 2:30am. Kids continued waking; some throwing up, some coughing up a lung, all needing re-doses of medicine the rest of the morning. I figured I'd call the on call pediatrician line to get the other 3 kids in for appointments. 2:40, 3, 3:20 we'd be reigning our germs all over the clinic. I never did get to go to sleep again.
What I thought were night sweats from hormones regulating back to normal after nursing a baby the last almost year; were getting really bad, accompanied by a fever, a lingering cold/cough, chills, body aches, sinus headache & a really sore chest/stomach/sides. I had an uncontrollable barking cough that kept getting worse, so I figured I'd go in for my strep culture this morning & get it over with.

For the first time since I can ever remember I was actually EXCITED to see this little friend of mine :)

I was giddy to see a major drop in my bmi number & didn't feel ashamed or embarrassed at all! After x-rays & a breathing treatment I came home with this diagnosis: pneumonia in both lungs, the left particularly congested, acute pharyngitis, 2 ear infections & a sinus infection. Thank you Lord it's treatable. Little bummed I can't continue to work on running my 10 minute mile; I'll have to be ok with walking & biking.
Thank the Lord for my mom & her help! We hauled Bren, Connor & Addy to the doctor this afternoon during the worst part of our latest snow storm. Other than being negative in the patience department & overloaded in the stress department here's the diagnosis's that we came home with:
Brennan has pink eye & the rapid strep test was negative. But since he's on an oral amoxicillin for the eye, they didn't run the extended culture for strep.
Connor: strep & an ear infection.
Addison: 2 ear infections & more than likely strep. Since she's on amoxicillin for the ears anyways, she spared us the gag inducing swab. This would explain screaming when I tried to change her diaper & how impossible she's been to get into bed lately.
So thankful for a delicious dinner made by dear friends tonight. Ella said she'd even eat the dessert without whip cream & asked if I could be sick more often!
I feel like a drug dealer. Maybe I need to look into a license to have this many 'currently taking' kind of meds on my counter, not including the 2 refrigerated bottles & my inhaler. Here's what just the 6 of us need:

It's no wonder I couldn't ever really smoke back in the rebel days! I suck at inhaling things! The inhaler works awesome, but it takes 10 minutes of mental prep to do it correctly!
It's 9pm & all my children are sleeping. I am going to try to do the same before someone wakes up!
I hope it's safe to say that tomorrow I will not need to visit any healthcare professionals ...
