The Biggest Loser Competition has ended! I've met some great friends and most importantly I have made some serious changes in the way I live my life. I appreciate the support of so many family and friends and I must say I have the best facebook friends ever! Special thanks to those who checked in every Thursday to see my progress and encourage me through the whole process. I have made excuses all my life and chalked my weight up to being big boned & having a slow metabolism, 4 kids, no time and blah blah blah. No more excuses! I want to live healthy, enjoy my children and grandchildren (some day)! I eat the right portion sizes, I stick to healthy food choices & most importantly I exercise! The challenge was 9 weeks long, but actually ended up being 12 with Thanksgiving off and another week that was a planned off date. I am excited to celebrate this milestone, but I also am looking long term and know the road ahead will get even more difficult as I have another 36 pounds to lose to reach my ultimate goal. I did achieve my 20 pound goal for this challenge and I lost a total of 6.75 INCHES!! So my exciting announcement is NOT that I am pregnant, but it is this:

I WON 1ST PLACE & $50 AND LOST A TOTAL OF 6.75 INCHES!
Special thanks to my sister-in-law for this special side by side of a before & after. The fat picture was taken at my 30th birthday party on September 11th of this last fall.

THANK YOU to all of you who have been an encouragement and support the past few months! I am starting my 2nd Biggest Loser competition next Thursday and will work extra hard to lose another 20 pounds! If you live in the Appleton area and want to join up in a Biggest Loser competition contact me and I will get you the details! This was the best $35 I've ever spent - 1 hour nutrition class once a week, a one on one coach, accountability & support - I can't say enough great stuff about the program at The Fuze and the ladies who work there! They helped me do what I've struggled to do all of my life!

Congratulations! Make sure you spend part of that prize money on something nice in your new size or something to pamper you such as a new haircut or mani/pedi! :-)
awesome! It is an accomplishment to be proud of as I know you are a busy woman! It is especially important to live a healthy lifestyle as a mother as you are setting the example for a life of health for your children. And to start earlier explaining to them (especially the girls) the difference between striving for health vs starving to be skinny like models (who are NOT health). May your whole family prosper and live long healthy happy lives under your example!
Lisa,
You're beautiful inside and out! Maybe I should take you up on the offer and attend this next competition with you!
Karen VandenBush
Karen you should :) It's so much more fun with friends! We start again on the 15th from 10-11, they also have ones that meet at night but those sessions don't start until January!
Thanks Candice & Amethyst! It's been a year since my last hair cut and it's getting Dugger kind of scary long so I think I will invest it towards a new cut and color :)
Congrats, Lisa! Way To Go! :)
That is just fantastic! Especially with being a busy mom to four!
Wow! I'm glad you found something at which you wanted to lose :-)!
Congratulations! what an achievement! I've struggled with my weight all my life so I understand how difficult it is. Well done!
